Wildfires are ravaging many areas in the West, especially in California, and red-flag warnings have been issued from the Northwest into the Rockies.
As of Saturday, August 22, nearly 100 active, large fires have burned 1.5 million acres in at least 13 states across the country. The majority of the fires were in California, according to the National Interagency Fire Center.
More than 915,000 acres have been burned across California as the state also deals with a heat wave that is only worsening conditions.
