Hollywood’s biggest – and vaccinated – TV stars descended upon LA Live in downtown Los Angeles Sunday night to kick off the 73rd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards.

And Kaley Cuoco kicked off this year’s ceremony in style as she arrived in a neon green gown, joining Mandy Moore and Yara Shahidi in equally bold and bright dazzling looks.

Mandy Moore, 37, stunned in a red gown while Yara, 21, emulated Audrey Hepburn in a green off-the-shoulder frock.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were a ‘limited’ number of guests (about 500) and nominees on the red carpet as well as event staff. Attendees had to show proof of vaccination and a negative test result.

Kaley stood out in the bright frock, which featured floral accents along the straps as well as ruching along her torso.

This is Us star Mandy Moore opted for a spaghetti strap gown with a ball skirt in a bold crimson hue, adding matching lipstick. Mandy welcomed son August Harrison with husband Taylor Goldsmith on February 20, 2021.

Yara, who is half Persian, looked elegant in green frock that featured pockets with a belted waist; the gown, which was fifties-inspired, was paired with brown heels and a statement necklace.

The Academy said in a statement: ‘Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of Emmy nominees, guests and media, the number of production personnel and staff must be limited at this year’s 73rd Emmy Awards.’

They added that there will be a ‘very limited red carpet for talent arrivals’, and a virtual media center to ‘allow media outlets to connect directly with Emmy winners as they are announced.’

The show also included several satellite events that the telecast cut to when needed.

The cast and producers of the smash hit series The Crown – starring Claire Foy and Gillian Anderson – hosted their own Emmy ceremony in London.
