A woman from Keighley, West Yorkshire has been charged with attempted murder after a child was found injured on Christmas Eve.

Lisa Shackleton, 38, was due to appear at Bradford Magistrates’ Court this morning. 

She was arrested on Friday after reports of concern for the welfare of a child with injuries at an address in the town.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police told the BBC : ‘The investigation remains ongoing with Bradford District Police’ (file photo used)

West Yorkshire police said the child was rushed to hospital with serious injuries but is now believed to be in a stable condition, YorkshireLive reports.
