A downtown Los Angeles penthouse formerly lived in by Johnny Depp and Amber Heard is set to go on sale for $1.76 million on Friday.
The one-bedroom, two-bathroom, which spans 1,780 sq. feet, is located in the Eastern Columbia Building, where Depp, 58, once owned five properties, which he sold for a sum of $12.78 million in the wake of his 2016 parting with Heard, 36, according to the New York Post.
When he and Heard resided there, the properties were interconnected with one another, but have since been modified into different dwellings.

The property most recently was sold for in 2017 for $1.42 million, and has been listed as a rental for $5,500 monthly, the outlet reported, citing public records.
The property is listed by Douglas Elliman agents Rick Tyberg and Ernie Carswell, who told the outlet that the listing was ‘just coincidental timing’ coming a week after the conclusion of the defamation trial between the one-time Hollywood pair.
‘It’s definitely not a typical Los Angeles residence at all, which makes it so special,’ Carswell said.
While it was not immediately clear if the property was the location of incidents mentioned in the trial, the agent added that the former couple ‘spent a good amount of their time’ in the ‘very large bedroom with views looking east.

The unit has ‘incredible volume and height, and you step out to the building’s rooftop swimming pool, which is about as dramatic as it gets in Los Angeles,’ Carswell said.
The famed building includes amenities such as a gymnasium, 24-hour concierge service, spa and rooftop pool, the latter of which was a favorite of the former pair, according to Carswell.
‘Very few people in the building used the pool, but I know [Depp] and Amber enjoyed it,’ Carswell told the publication.
The building is under the Mills Act and historically protected, which comes with tax incentives to property owners, according to the outlet.
The home is slated to go on sale just more than a week after a Virginia jury awarded Depp more than $10 million in his libel suit against Heard over a 2018 opinion piece she penned for The Washington Post.
In the piece, the actress called herself a ‘public figure representing domestic abuse,’ but didn’t mention the actor’s name; Depp’s legal team said that Heard had ‘concocted the story in hopes of generating positive publicity and to advance her career.’

Much of the televised trial was centered around Heard’s claims Depp – who she wed in February of 2015 and filed for divorce from in May of 2016 – physically and sexually abused her, as she said he had attacked her on more than a dozen occasions. Depp denied that he ever hit Heard, saying that she had been abusive to him.
Depp had been awarded $15 million in damages, which was reduced by the judge to $10.4 million in accordance with state law limitations in regards to punitive damages.
Heard was awarded $2 million by the jury for damages stemming from remarks made by a Depp lawyer that Heard had concocted a story and trashed an apartment she shared with Depp to make it look bad when authorities were summoned to the scene.
Depp on Wednesday posted a statement that read: ‘Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed.’

‘Speaking the truth was something that I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I have finally accomplished that.’
Heard said in a statement on social media following the trial that she was ‘even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women.
‘It’s a setback,’ she said. ‘It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously.’
