Tensions soared in the Love Island villa as bombshell Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu made a dramatic entrance on Thursday’s episode.
The Essex actress, 27, arrived alongside fellow newcomer Afia Tonkmor, 24, and immediately made an impression on the boys with her beauty.
However, she didn’t have much luck with the girls after proclaiming she was not in the villa to make friends and then told 19-year-old Gemma Owen she could be like her big sister.

Chatting with the girls around the firepit, Ekin-Su announced: ‘I’m sorry I’m not here to make seasonal girlfriends, I’m here to make the love of my life.’
Gemma was seen smirking at the remark before Ekin-Su learned she was only 19, prompting her to say: ‘You could be my little sister that I could protect.’
Unimpressed, Gemma said in the beach hut: ‘I’m sure she didn’t mean it in a b****y way but I felt like it was a bit patronising. I was a bit like, ugh.’
Later, speaking in the bedroom to the other girls, Gemma added: ‘That comment pissed me off. “I’m gonna go for what I want.” Yeah b***h, same.’

The girls spoke about Ekin-Su again the following morning in the bedroom, with Amber Beckford saying: ‘I’m still happy to get to know them, I’m not going to be bitchy but…’

Afia and Ekin-Su walked into the bedroom moments later, with the actress saying to the girls: ‘Don’t b***h too much about me… I’m just joking.’

Along with Gemma, Ekin-Su also left Paige Thorne unimpressed after she commented on her relationship with Luca Bish.
Sitting with the girls in the garden, Paige said: ‘Things have been going well with Luca.’
Ekin-Su asked: ‘Do you guys cuddle a lot?’ to which Paige replied: ‘Yeah, footises.’
Ekin-Su said: ‘I didn’t see you guys cuddling last night.’
When she got up and left the group, Paige said to the other girls: ‘What is she, keeping tabs on how many times he touches me during the night? Weird.’

Later, Davide and Gemma had a chat about their eight-year age difference, with both insisting it didn’t bother them.
Davide said: ‘I’m much older than you, you’re not bothered about it.’
Gemma replied: ‘No it’s not an issue for me at all. I’ve been seeing guys…’
‘Much older than you,’ Davide said.
‘Yeah, it’s very normal for me. For you, is it an issue?’ she asked.
‘No it’s not an issue about age,’ he said. ‘I say sometimes you are probably more mature than age.’

Andrew returned the favour moments later when he locked lips with Paige, selecting her as the girl he thought was ‘wifey material’.
Speaking to Gemma and Dami Hope after, Tasha said: ‘It wasn’t nice to see at all… It opened a lot of eyes for me. No one told Andrew to say Paige was wifey material.’

Speaking in the Beach Hut after being chosen, Liam said: ‘It’s a massive booster, definitely what I needed, I am buzzing now, I can’t wait to meet the girls.’
Afia and Ekin-Su awaited Liam’s arrival in the candle-lit courtyard and first up was Afia.
Liam was quick to compliment the new arrival, saying: ‘I like your vibe, you’re just a laugh, a bubbly, outgoing girl and that’s exactly what I want.’
