Britney Spears‘ attorney has revealed he is ‘absolutely livid’ after her first husband, Jason Alexander, crashed the pop star’s wedding on Thursday afternoon and is calling for him to be locked up.

Mathew Rosengart, a former federal prosecutor with a reputation that has seen him representing high-profile clients since he went into private practice in 2001, has said he is ‘personally working with the sheriff’s department to ensure Mr. Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.’

‘Jason Alexander has been handcuffed, taken into custody and arrested. I express my thanks to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt response and good work,’ Rosengart, told TMZ in a statement.

Rosengart’s vow to see Alexander prosecuted capped off an afternoon of drama within the grounds of Spears’ Thousand Oaks, California mansion hours before she is due to marry longtime boyfriend Sam Asghari.

A photographer captured the moment Alexander was apprehended by security and pinned to the ground.

Minutes before he was apprehended, Alexander managed to livestream himself on his Instagram running through hillside trails, as he approached the rear of Spears’ home.

The 40-year-old was able to scale a fence, descend a rocky hillside and slip inside the wedding venue, all-the-while telling security exactly who he was, and why he was there.

Alexander claimed that Britney had ‘invited him’ to the event and that she was his ‘first and only wife’ before he proudly stated he was there to ‘crash the wedding’.

At one point, he managed to make it inside the wedding tent which appeared to be decorated in pink roses, before he was once again confronted by security outside who were armed.

He was swiftly tackled to the ground and escorted off the premises with the Ventura County Sheriff having been summoned.

Rosengart told TMZ he’s ‘absolutely livid’ Alexander tried to crash and wants Alexander to be locked up.

Alexander and Spears tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2004 and were married for just 55 hours before they had their union annulled.

‘We were all trying to figure out what’s going on, especially after the fire truck left.’

Spears is set to marry Asghari on Thursday after nearly six years together.

The pair announced their engagement via Instagram in September 2021 but had not disclosed a wedding date.

Two months later, the Stronger singer was released from a legal conservatorship that had controlled her personal life and finances for 13 years.

During court proceedings, she said she longed to get married and start a new family without any restrictions.

Spears announced in April that she and Asghari were expecting a baby. A month later, the singer said she had suffered a miscarriage.

Iranian-born Asghari, 28, is a personal trainer and actor who has appeared on the Showtime series Black Monday.

Spears, 40, has been married twice before. She wed childhood friend Jason Allen Alexander in Las Vegas in 2004, but that marriage was annulled a few days later.

That same year, she married dancer Kevin Federline, with whom she had two children, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15. That marriage ended in divorce in 2007.

On its website, the company says ‘something sacred is at stake at every event’ and boasts of using the best local ingredients, adding: ‘Our commitment to quality ingredients goes uncompromised.

‘We utilize local organic produce whenever possible and source sustainable poultry and meat from local ranches.’

A sample wedding menu includes appetizers of Kobe beef sliders and Ahi tuna tartare, followed by entrees such as ‘a duet of spice rubbed, grilled and sliced flank steak’ or Santa Barbara sea bass served with charred fennel, saffron and a tomato herb cream sauce.

Spears and Alexander knew one another from childhood in Kentwood, Louisiana and she had flown him to Las Vegas for New Year’s celebrations.

Speaking in 2012 about their brief marriage, Alexander said that it was the Grammy-winner’s idea to tie the knot in Sin City.

‘She just came out and asked me,’ he said. ‘She was like, ‘Well, let’s get married.’ And I was like, ‘Sure. You know, let’s do this.”

Alexander last July appeared on the podcast Toxic: The Britney Spears Story, and said that Spears’ team had persuaded him to annul the marriage.

‘They told me if I would sign the contracts – the annulment – they would let me and Britney continue our relationship, and if we felt the same way in six months they would give us a proper marriage,’ he said. ‘So I had no reason to believe otherwise. I thought that’s what the truth was.

‘They were allowing Britney and I to still have phone communication. So we were talking every day and I still believed the story I was told, that they were going to let us continue to talk and then we would have this marriage … in the future if we felt the same way.’

Alexander said that the phone number he had for Spears had changed a month afterward, and he didn’t have a way to get in touch with her.

Alexander is also an avid Trump supporter, having attended the notorious Stop the Steal rally which led to the January 6 siege on the Capitol.
