It’s been days George Floyd took his last breaths with a knee on his neck. Since then, protesters have marched and clashed with police, politicians and local leaders have made promises to hurting communities and America as a whole has had to come to terms with generational inequities that have left many Black and Brown people at a disadvantage to their White counterparts.

In the week between May 25 and June 1, 2020, a video of Floyd’s death went viral and protests erupted across the US.
